Curing Anxiety Through Positive Thinking

If you have recently started anxiety treatment and you want to further your recovery, try surrounding yourself with positive people, things and thoughts. If anxiety is a negative reaction, then it can be overcome with positive reactions. Here are a few simple tips to turn anxiety around.

When an anxiety attack hits, embrace it like its your best friend. Speak to it nicely. Welcome the feelings your having. This may sound very scary, but after a period of time when the feelings hit, you know longer fear them. Also, surround your self with positive people that are uplifting and encouraging. Negative people tend to leave you with negative feelings and they do build up and can exit the body in the form of an anxiety attack. Encourage yourself daily with positive self-talk. Instead of saying “I can’t do this,” tell yourself, “I am going to try to do this.” Put up note cards around your house with positive and encouraging statements.

Practicing positivity will replace any negative emotions that include anxiety with positive feelings. Pretty soon, you hardly notice the anxiety anymore because you feel good about yourself. Here is to a happier more positive you!
